What is a Consultation?


Our Free Consultation is a very thorough process where our Lead Crown Maker will assess your current: hair condition porosity density texture/curl pattern and color variants We also consider your current lifestyle as well as budget to develop a custom hair extension plan and "blue print" based on your hair needs. This proprietary "blueprint" is the tool we use everytime you come in to ensure consistent and beautiful results no matter the day, no matter the stylist.




Is a Consultation mandatory?


The Free Consultation is not mandatory however it is recommended to ensure optimal results if you don't plan on bringing your own hair. Without a consultation we can try to determine your needs by looking a photo for refence as well as asking a series of questions through our DIY Online Consultation however a virtual consultation is helpful, but not a full replacement for an in person consultation. There are a lot of things that cannot be accurately represented in a photo including density and color. If possible, we recommend coming in for a consultation if only for a quick color and texture match. If you are planning on bringing your own hair to your appointment, we feel more comfortable with you skipping a Consultation however we still recommend one.




What happens if I don't come in for a Consultation?


No monsters will pop out but we cannot guarantee that you will be 100% satisfied with the results.

If you don't know what you need, the following may happen:
a) you bring the wrong method type (wrong tip, wrong glue, wrong weft etc) b) the hair you bring is not the right texture, color, porosity, etc c) you bring too little hair, causing stringy results d) the hair you bring is of low quality and so hard to manage e) the glue you bring does not hold well, falls out f) the beads you bring are too large and won't hold or too small and won't fit g) the extension bond site is constructed poorly and will shed/fall out That's just a few of the scenarios that can happen.




What is a Luxie BluePrint?


Our NEW Hair Mapping Technology is our "blueprint" to your hair. It's your extension plan mapped out on a diagram of your head, detailed in a way that all of our stylists can access your information and apply your extensions in accordance to your custom needs. It also contains information about the hair used (amount, length, color, etc) and also has notes about length of your appointment, etc.




What is the Luxie Client Monitoring Program?


After every installation service we enroll you in our Client Monitoring Program. Every time you come in for a visit, be it for a repair, retouch, or removal service, we assess your current hair, scalp, extension, and bonding site condition and log it under your profile. We also go over your daily routine and answer any questions or conerns you may have to keep your hair, scalp, and extensions at it's most optimal state. We can pull your information up later at any time to know exactly what's going on with your hair at all times.




What is a Halo?


A Halo is a flexible extension system originally created by HaloCouture that allows you to add body, volume, and length in a matter of seconds. Their hair is high quality, 100% Remy Human hair. You can wear them daily or just for special occasions and remove them as easily as applying them. This innovative idea has virtually no damage. There are four lengths – 12 inch, 16 inch, 20 inch, and 24 inches. They are the basic equivalent to a full head of hair, adding about 70-120 grams of hair. Click here for more information.




What is the best extension method?


The "best method" would be one that suits your hair type as well as your lifestyle. One method may be good for one client but unsuitable for another. The best way to determine what the "best" method is for your hair needs is to meet with our Lead Technician at a Beauty Audit appointment or to take our Online Consultation (click here).




How much hair should I buy?


For volume, most clients need 2 ounces, approx 50 grams of hair, on average. For length, most clients need 3- 6 ounces, approx 75 to 150 grams of hair, on average.




What method is the safest?


Just to be clear, extensions in general are not "safe" for your hair. Like bleach or hot tools, it causes some stress on the natural hair. We feel that the shrinkie and skin weft methods are the lightest in weight, thus are the "safest" methods. However because needs vary from person to person, it's hard to make a general statement. How long does my natural hair have to be?


It is best to have at least 4in to have get extensions. Keep in mind that anything under 8 inches will require more hair added and a lot of styling to blend unless you're only going to bob length.




Do extensions damage the hair?


The honest answer to this questions is that ALL extensions put stress on the natural hair which can result in damage. After every installation we enroll you in our Client Monitoring Program to keep you updated on the condition of your hair. We also go over your daily routine to see how it's affecting your scalp and hair. Although we educate you and give you support whenever you have a question or concern, it is your sole responsibility to properly care for and maintain your extensions so you may eliminate or reduce the risk of damage. If you want the risk of absoultely no damage to your natural hair, we suggest you get fitted for one of our custom Halos by Halo Couture.




Do extensions look natural?


We make sure that we take the time to ensure natural-looking extensions. This starts with determining ALL of the colors that are present in your hair, selecting the right texture, the right wave pattern during your Beauty Audit & Hair Analysis, and finishing with the perfect amount of extensions and completing the service with a blended haircut. We also pay close attention to how your hair grows and parts to determine placement so that you don't have any extensions showing or peeping through. Also with every installation you have 14 days to come back in and have your extensions adjusted until your satisfied. Free of charge of course.




What brand of hair do you use or recommend?


We only recommend using 100% Human Remy hair. Our partners and salon trusted brands:  Hairdreams DreamCatchers Extensions-Plus The Hair Shop (808|909|707) UltraTress Invisitab Babe Crisace Hairlocs Hairtalk HotHeads Other brands: Glam Seamless His & Her Luscios Lox SoCap We also carry 100% Remy Virgin Indian Human hair in the salon for our clients convenience. Because it's in it's natural state it only comes in darkest brown but can be custom colored to match up to a level 4.  If you require hair from specific origins such as Brazil, Spain, Italy, Russia, or Malaysia we work with vendors who supply such hair.  You are free to supply your own hair as well.




What is your Cancellation Policy?


FOR DALLAS We offer a 24 hour grace period for FULL REFUNDS as long as the intial booking date is at least 72 hours from the scheduled appointment date. After that, NO REFUNDS. We practice a 24 hour cancellatio policy. No calls/no shows will not be rebooked. No exceptions. -A $100 deposit is required to secure any extension application appointment. -Prepayment (or a valid card on file) is required to hold all other appointments As long as a appointment is cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours BEFORE scheduled appontment, the deposit will be held for up to 365 and able to be applied or transferred to any appointment or client. In the event of a late cancel, any monies paid will become forfeit and the client will be required to rebook. No calls/no shows will not be rebooked and all monies paid will become forfeit. FOR LOS ANGELES We offer a 24 hour grace period where a FULL REFUND will be granted 24 hours after booking an appointment but only if the scheduled appointment date is at least 72 hours from intital booking date. If an appointment scheduleddate is less than 72 hours from initial booking date, the funds paid should be considered non-refundable. Due to the time intesive nature of offering mobile services, all of our services require prepayment and are non refundable after the grace period expires.)
